Bring Me Back to Eden

How I long to see the face, the face of the One I love
He's calling me up higher unto His mount above
His eyes are dove's eyes and His voice so strong and sweet
He gave up His mortal body to make a way for me
I long to know Him more and hunger for His presence
Wherein I am swept away and my heart is marked with evidence
Draw me closer into Your arms as a lovesick bride
Take me behind the veil to the secret place where I can hide
Breathe into me Your breath of love and adoration
So I may dance before You, Lord in reckless desperation
Bring me into Your chambers where our love may pour out
And grant to me half the kingdom and all other whereabouts
Invite me to Your throne as an honorary guest
Provide for me the strategies to move forward in conquest
Lend to me the opportunity of bringing children back to You
To express the grace by which I'm saved in all I say and do
As I climb up higher upon rock and hinge I will look up to see
A throne consumed in lights and smoke brightly glistening
How I long to kiss Your feet and feel the imprint of the nails
To sit at Your feet and drink Your cup, hearing indescribable tales
I wish to be innocent in Your eyes and at Your right hand seated
My flesh craves to walk and talk with You, Lord, bring me back to Eden
