A soul
Something so fragile it can simply fall apart.
We don't realize we hurt each others souls.
Slowly breaking each other piece by piece
We say this is just how it is
But you never tried to change it, now did you?
You never built yourself up again for fear of falling,
So you stayed, feet firmly planted on the ground
While everyone else soared,
While others built a walkway up,
You built yourself a wall, closing yourself in
They left you in the dust
It hurts doesn't it?
To be treated as if you don't matter.
So just stay behind your wall
Which is slowly collapsing in.
Soon you'll just be a memory in people's minds,
But hey, it's okay isn't it?
At least now no one can hurt you.
