Broken and Fixed

God has looked for me in the dust,
But He finds me in the Earth's crust.
I am broken, I am hopeless, I am trying, I am crying.
I sailed my ship across the sea of hate,
Searching for a new United State.

Picking up deceased flowers from the lonely dirt,
Reminds us what it means to be hurt,
I am broken, I am hopeless, I am trying, I am crying.
I build castles and mansions in my dreams,
And rocky islands where the lighthouse beams.

A reputation and recognition that goes ignored,
Is a curse from the devil and the lord.
I am broken, I am hopeless, I am trying, I am crying.
I curse jealousy and selfishness,
And death to hate and helplessness.

To destroy the world with sins and lies,
Is the reason the prophet dies,
I am broken, I am hopeless, I am trying, I am crying.
But peace is in the air,
For lovers and those who really care.

We are all part of that same Human Race,
And we are all trying to reach the same place.
