Broken-Hearted

Yesterday we were one,
Today we are done
Mind stuck on confusion,
Sort of like a head contusion
Understanding becomes extremely dry,
Repeated questions start to arise
Fell victim of the continuous lies
Several of years have gone by
Irrelevant feelings remain inside,
Cannot describe this hurtful description
Now prescribed an unusual prescription
The mind continues to motivate me to move on,
While the heart determines to stay torn
Left without any explanation,
Soul is under severe examination
Mental state craves for evaluation
Can't bare to commit to anyone else
Mortal body cries out in desperate help,
Your deceitful actions have corrupted my life,
Causing the delicate heart to give up the fight
Things done out of spite,
Darkness now surrounding the light,
Questions eventually come to sight
Now that you have departed,
What happens to the broken-hearted?
