Broken Hearts, Wings to Match

Have you ever felt the flapping of broken wings?
A reminder that you've done horrible things.
Have you ever felt the desperation of atonement?
Hoping it will earn you at least one more moment?
That moment where you felt her last embrace
Holding you tightly, knowing it's the end of your days.
How easy it was to destroy your entire life
The feeling sticks in my heart like a butcher knife.
My selfish ways interfered with our love
No God was guiding me from above.
I let the Devil use me as a vessel of sin
I let the lust take me over and win.
I lost the angel with unbroken wings.
The one that did wonderful things.
Have you ever felt the pain I feel?
If it never happened would you be here still?
That moment where I felt our last embrace
Holding you tightly, not wanting to end our days.
Did you feel the pain I behold?
The ripping apart of two souls?
My sins have earned me a special place
Where I will rot eternally in a Sea of Flames.
Not even then will I feel cleansed of sin.
I should have never let the chaos begin.
My actions cost me more than just my soul.
The soul of another, two parts of a whole.
Forever separated by pain and past
I wish I never sinned. We would've made it last.
