broken seasons

Falling tears as heavy as the early spring rain
A pounding heart as heavy as summers thunder
You walk past me and the chills of winter cover my body
Every sound is amplified
My stomach tunes to knots
Your glare as harsh as the hot, blaring sun
I try to hide, but ever attempt is failed
I’m exposed
I’m shattered
I’m alone
I’m left alone with nothing more than your haunting words
My life goes on year after year, every season a constant reminder of how you left me.
