Broken Society

The teens all drink,
While the children smoke.
We all seem to sink,
Believing what leaders spoke.

News is all death,
And society seems black.
Everyone takes meth,
As higher the endless bodies stack.

Entertainers drink the devil's wine,
Politicians feed off the suffering of many,

Just to grab another dime,
Or steal another penny.

Layers of blood coat the streets,
People dropping like flies.
Drawn in by precious treats,
Only to later hear their cries.

An endless cycle of lust, envy, wrath,
Greed, gluttony, sloth, and pride.
A cycle of death like an endless tide.
This is what the world tried to hide.
