Brothas and Sistas

Brothas and sistas listen up
Quit dragging and lagging saying I give up.
Stop saying that other races are holding you back.
When in fact, it's determination and self-motivation that you lack.
You see while you're out here fantasizing about Genocide,
stop and ask yourself this: do I really, I mean truly,
want to miss out on life's sweetest gifts?
Which is the knowledge and courage and wisdom
to do all the things that you think you might miss.
So the next time you want to blame someone else,
just stop to take a minute and reevaluate yourself.
Because you see, my brothas and sistas
the only thing that we truly lack
is the stupidity of thinking it's all because we're black.
Let's not forget the role models who have paved the way-
you know like Luis Farrakhan, Malcolm X
and of course Martin Luther King.
So please, my people, don't let their fight be all in vain.
You have to be the one yourself to break that binding chain.
