Building Castles in the Sand

Remember the summer fun, you and me one on one.
Sounds of the ocean, summer time emotions.
We use to pretend, it would never end.
Remember those summer nights, romance under neon lights!
Sharing hotdogs at the stand, building castles in the sand!
Summer went so very fast, dancing into the past!
Like a sudden breeze, breaking through the trees,
We knew it couldn't last.
Time has ways of showing, good lessons worth knowing.
It's up to you, to see it through.
And come out of it growing!
There we were hand in hand, building castles in the sand.
Wishing it would never end, but it did my friend,
When the tide came in.
And on that day it took our castles away!
I still feel that summer breeze,
both of us so at ease.
Seems like only yesterday, the tide took it all away.
Life has a certain flow, building castles as it goes.
Through the joy and pain, memories still remain.
We must understand, time has only one demand.
Building castles in the sand!
