Burning Memories

Sitting fire to your old love letters watching the ambers as they
glow
Thinking about all the lies that were written as I watch my memories
go up in smoke
The flames burn the way I burned for you only to fade away
All that's left is a heart so blue and ashes is all that remains

There was a time when I would read your lines and it would
put a smile on my face
Back then you were all mine a taste of heavens grace
Somehow you managed to capture my heart with just the stroke of a pen
Could keep me hooked on every word never hoping it would end
Now your ink is all gone and I'm left all alone the rest of the
page is just left blank

Sitting fire to your old love letters watching the ambers
as they glow
Thinking about all the lies that were written as I watch my memories
go up in smoke
The flames burn the way I burned for you only to fade away
All that's left is a heart so blue and ashes is all that remains
