Burying My Grave

It's the way you say it when we're alone.
It's the way you make me feel when my mom's not home.
It's the way I think when my heart's not beating.
It's the way you want me when you think you need me.
It's the look in your eyes when we're fighting.
It's the look of your smile when you see me crying.
It's the look that you give me when I make a mistake.
It's the look of resentment when you walk away.
It's the reason I've become what I am.
It's the reason my mom will never understand.
It's the reason I plan to run away.
It's the reason I'm throwing my whole life away.
It's that four letter word that makes me want you.
It's that four letter word that makes me hate you.
It's that four letter word my heart's telling me not to say.
It's that four letter word that is building my grave.
