But Such Is Life

I lay on the colorless field
Blinded by the white
But, such is life
I bleed red blood
That stains frail petals
But, such is life
I am enclosed in a warm numb feeling
One that only comes with the cold snow
Really, what is life?
I sit here waiting
For opportunities that may never strike
That is my life
I hold onto the stars like a mic
And sing songs to the sun
My life
Is something I control
And I will no longer accept
But, such is life
