But You

I have done countless things for you
I have smiled when you hurt me
I brushed off the red flags that I should've seen
I told myself that people were wrong,
And that you were a great guy
I didn't let myself doubt
I did what you wanted
I cut off people
But you
You still hurt me
You still ripped from a moment of happiness
To a moment of pure pain
You left me lying on the ground
And told me it was my fault
I thought maybe I did deserve it
But you
You still hurt me
You still ripped me from what should've been a normal month
But I had to lie to my parents
Tell them it happened in softball practice
But I had to lie to my friends
Cover it with make up
And you still don't know what you did wrong?
Leave me
Don't touch another girl
Don't even look at her
You will never lay another hand on me again.
