Butterflies

A million of them there used to be
Fluttering about inside of me
No matter where no matter why, you made me feel I could touch the sky
I melted every time that you said hi
I could recite all of your favorites even to this day
But about me, you didn't feel the same way
You looked at him, the way I saw you
The first time I noticed, I turned the deepest shade of blue
I hurt, I burned, I yelled, I screamed
Yet I couldn't stay mad forever, for the way that you beam
I don't often anymore see you
But I still get butterflies every time that I do
