Butterflies

In the vast, tremendous sky
hidden in the blue, they fly.
Throughout the day, forevermore,
how they flutter--how they soar!
Bearing with them many hues
of fiery reds and silky blues,
and radiant almost anything!
Their colors mark the start of spring.
If you see them, then you know
wondrous flowers will soon grow.
They'll paint the world in brilliant shades
of white or pink, and green in spades!
Now go and glimpse those ornate wings,
or hear the quiet song it sings
alerting you that spring has come
and not to miss it when it's done.
So when you see a butterfly
soaring through the boundless sky,
remark their struggle and their strife
to bring some color in your life.
