By The Grace of God

By the grace of god I hope my father makes it home tonight

By the grace of god I pray my mother wakes up to her alarm

So she can take me to school and so I can see my boyfriend of three months and kiss him “good morning”

By the grace of god I hope my brother makes it to the bus stop when he walks there tomorrow

By the grace of god I wish that my puppy dog is okay. That he’s got a good home and plenty of food to eat and that he’s loved because I miss him more than you’ll ever know

I pray that the grace of my god will one day hear my prayers and respond in some form of reassurance that everything will be okay for now.

And by the grace of god I hope I will look in the mirror soon and see the person who I want to be. The person on every magazine cover with six pack abs and beautiful skin.

By the grace of god I hope I keep my next meal down and don’t cry myself to bed because I let myself eat.

By the grace of god I pray that my best friend keeps that bag of coke unopened and never goes as far as to use it.

By the grace of god, please tell me she wont use it, that my family will be alright, that ill be skinny enough to find love.

I really hope someone is listening

By the grace of god I don’t want to keep thinking like this

But if I don’t then I might just finally lose my whole mind.
