It was so cozy
velvet
delicious
when I didn’t know
you were lying.

In the sun with you.
It was like living
the taste
of the juiciest
sweetest fruit
before I knew
you were lying.

Everyday with you.
I was a bird
with a cage so enormous
and beautiful!
I didn’t know I was in it.
