Calling My Name

This waking dream feels so real to me,
The radiance you cascade
Creates the torrent of emotions that flow
Euphoricly through the touch
Of your skin to mine,
It gets me every time.

Yet, I awake alone with your image
Seared into my mind's eye,
Making it impossible to wait
For you to come home to me,
Then it hits me like a bad memory,
And this tear streams down my cheek
As I remember the day
You were taken away.

Never will enough time pass
That I won't remember your embrace,
You will forever be mine,
And until we meet again
I'll pray for repentance of my sin,
So, when I close my eyes for the last time,
All I will hear is your voice,
Calling my name,
In heaven.
