Colors

I️ am a butterfly
Brightly colored
and free of human touch.
I️ flash my wings at predators
I️ breeze through life,
Weightless and free.
I️ am a butterfly,
Brightly colored
for my protection;
I️ forgot,
how to flash my colors,
how to scare you off.
I️ let you touch my wings
And you dulled my colors.
Like you did my spirit.
I️ let you win,
For this war torn,
worn out body,
Looks better with dulled color.
You removed beautiful patterns
Like you did my confidence.
You took my flight,
Like you did my fight.
But today I️ am a Butterfly
Broken
and free of you.
