Can You Remember?

Can you still remember. . .
The days of yesteryear,
When we were only children,
Still growing through the years?

Can you still remember. . .
The memories of home,
When laughter filled our family
And love was always shown?

Can you still remember. . .
The special times we played,
When teasing one another
Was a game we often made?

Can you still remember. . .
When everyone was close,
When love was never questioned?
It's what we shared the most.

Can you still remember. . .
How everybody cared,
How they would always be there,
No matter what you shared?

Wouldn't it be wonderful
To travel back in time,
And relish in those moments
When our lives were intertwined?

Although we can't return the hands
Of time to yesteryear,
If we'll only pause to remember,
They'll remain alive and near.
