Cancer

I see her smile
I watch her grow
Her cheeks are pink
She's oh so meek
I see her curls
As she twists and twirls
She loved to play
But can't during the day
This thing is eating her alive
There's nowhere she can hide
She wants to crawl into a hole
And forget this pain as it takes its toll
She wants to know what's inside her
She searches for the answer
Her momma says it's something called "cancer"
She doesn't know what this word means
But is in pain and wants to scream
Her momma cries and says goodbye
Now is her time to spread her wings and fly
