CANDLE, 01/30/18

By Liphi

a robe that matches the night
sitting near the twilight
watching it burns as it blazes in the demise
staring at lifeless cold eyes.
singing a woeful cry.

fire croons along with melody
weeping softly; made out of hope and agony?
like ocean waves, drifting through the horizons,
warmth’s still there, weak but breathing;
do not want to give in. do not leave nothing.
“Please don’t go.”

fighting spirit stares to a new day,
the sun’s praying a bit longer, taking its flames as its pay,
hoping to go on, painting white roses red,
yet it blows its last light,
no more tears to shed.
drowning into the sea.

This Poems Story

I made this when I was in high school. I was in the stage of my teenage dark days, I loved making poems about death and anything related to negativity, This is \"Candle\" that portrays one\'s life.
