Candle’s Light

Our love is like a candle
That we could not handle
The flames were once bright
A lovers' delight

We danced in the flame
Later put to shame
Because the wind came about
And knocked the light out

After all it was a joke
That ended with smoke
So in the wax i burned
A lesson i have learned

Alas the wick was lit
Again my heart did flit
A new match
Had dispatched

Not a flame but a fir
