Can’t Let You Go, Ever Again

At night
I used to pray
that I would get to hold you.
When I left
you were just a seed
in your mother's womb
then, when she handed me
my first born child, my son,
emotions welled uncontrollably
and I silently let out all the anguish;

sweepings of war and missing you
in the intensity of an innocent hug...

From you, you my baby,
you causing my much needed breakdown--

You, unawares of the distressed world
we have selfishly brought you into;
you my precious one have brought to me
the greatest peaceful release!

One I never imagined existed.

I Love YOU!
