“Capricorn’s Daughter”

You climbed the nearest peak to watch Icarus fall
When he fell to Earth, they couldn't stand it all
To pick up the remains from the soil
How much longer must we stay on Earth to toil?

Wise, wise woman, so young, and yet so full of wisdom
How does the rain wash the tears
To listen to the shepherds hum
To only watch livestock for so many years.

Where does the sun go at night
To only return at twilight
The ancients worried over this fright
Who worries or cares who's right?
