Tears of pain creep down my face
A burning hole, an empty place
A friendship held so close to heart
But a void remains 'cause it's ripped apart
Intense emotions, that won't demise
Like a ship at sea just left capsized
Nothing can change or fix this pain
So I'll stand here alone and endure the rain
The sensation I had when I looked in your eyes
The way you flooded my stomach with fluttering 'flies'
And none of this crap just disappears
It all lingers on through streaming tears
The laughter we had...the comfort we shared
The way your hand held mine to show that you cared
The touch of your lips when you came in for a kiss
All of these feelings are the things that I miss
I love you now and I loved you then
I want nothing more than to still be your friend
But the pains too fresh, the cuts too deep
So I'll stand alone and fight the urge to weep
