Captive of my dreams

Captive Of My Dreams

I am a captive of my dreams,
In a room without doors,
where feel no need to scream,
And with a keeper I adore.

I am captive of my dreams,
I count them every day,
They warn me what they mean,
As I keep them safe at bay.

I am a captive of my dreams,
With no intention to escape,
My reality is but a gleam,
Of the life I eagerly reshape.

I am a captive of my dreams,
I feed on hopes and desire,
I drink from a flowing stream,
Of memories that conspire.

I am captive of my dreams,
From a past that hold the key,
To a love that rips at the seams,
Of my fears and sets me free.

I am a captive of my dreams,
Within walls strong as the sea,
Where hope is always sheltered,
And love can only be.
