Carnival

Step right up
And be amazed by
A life so barren and brutally dry
It seeks to destroy all those who disagree
Your heart unable to unsee
The Ferris wheel of emotions
As they go up and down
And circle around
But that’s not all!
Shovel in your mouth and force down your throat
A hefty portion of lies and deceit
Coated in sugar and seemingly sweet
But oh boy will you be amazed
By the trapeze act of covert rage
Swinging every which unexpected way
Never knowing where to stay
And the very last spectacle you just have to see
Is the adamant elephant in the room
Elaborately dressed in the victim’s costume
Well it’s been quite the disastrous show
Apologies to those in the very first row
