Carry Me Away

Once upon a time, long ago,
In a dream, I thought of you.
Walking alongside me, I looked upon you-
Into your crystal eyes and into your spirit.
My spirit, so trapped; you caught me
And carried me away, so far away.
Many things clear, others just a haze.
I see light:very bright, but so far away.
I see rocks, boulders, and the light.so bright.
The light pulls me forth, while the rocks hold me back.
Trapped in spirit, tired soul,
Lift me up while held down tight.
Then a rainbow and a bird up above so high.
A call for me, blinding me, my senses keen,
Well-aware. Self-aware.
A loaded volcano, ash all around,
Many layers surrounding me, covering me, sheltering me.
A storm of sorts, but somehow refreshed;
The wind blows past as fresh as the sea,
The smell of rain overtaking me.
Soon, I'm soaked-as clean as can be,
Free of dust, dirt and debris.
