Carry On

I can not be the rule across this plane
Why? The lesser means a greater gain
Time is an illusion boxed in vain
We carry on as if we know it all
We pick up the hand me downs that come our way
The very best shall always find a bigger fish
Swimming in far greater forays
The mind a fragile book upon a fade
Aligned in either remains or hope to escape
A change is made when once a chain enslaves
To rest inside the cage
Or name the truth some other thing
Finding comfort in what brings
Similar details that excite and enlighten
That feast into an inventory engaging
In golden precious memories in escalating replay
Shaking off the dust begging it not to fade
Ancient tombs show you your room once it does
Flagrant news of history proves the mystery is us
I can not be the rule across this plane
What shall it mean for me to believe
That I know anything if at once I find it out
Against my will again that passing on
We carry love beyond where time is boxed in vain
Birthed into an after life like children gone to play
