Catching Up

We’re just a few moments apart
if I slow down, you’ll catch up
I walk by the flickering lamp posts
those thatched up metal roofs
of the shelters nearby
the pavements weary from the effulgent sunlight
the incarnadine busses with matchboxes as windows
those turbid lanes ,paper boats flowing over
kids running along them, with the course it steers
almost reminds me of when we first met
that tainted bus stop
much like your heart.
