Caught Up

Feeling the grass on my feet,
Like a dream.
Seeing sky,
This is how it should be.
Not feeling threatened or tortured by life,
You think that you're free,
But it never turns out right.

Fall like the leaves,
Soar like a bird.
All you can do is say one word.

The ground shutters as she walks in the room,
All they can see is the pain she's been through.
They don't see a regular girl in the class,
All they see is her hurt from the past.

But when she imagines that she can fly,
She crawls to the roof so that she can try.

In the morning she sees an angel above,
And it tells her to bring out all of her love.
But in a place so cold it's hard to think,
hard to feel,
and even easier to break.
