Chained Capoeirista

I am as to the African drum,
Pounding with both my hands all in sync.
Keeping the beating beat in rhythm
Dah dah boom, heating up as it goes.
Flying parakeet, dancing monkey
Sturdy shackles chain as the wind blows.
In shameful disguise I sing and hum;
Longing to cross the border yonder
To play Capoeira in freedom.
