Change

A new start; a new day
Let the pawns fall where they may
Heart racing, stomach turning
I guess I'm learning
To not fear change but to embrace it.

All I thought I knew is now away
What could I say? I could never stay.
But... Change is good, is it not?
If so, I would have never fought
For a change; for a different life.

I walk forward, not back
Hoping I don't lack
The skills I need to succeed
To lead; to be the one to complete the deed
To make a difference; to be the change
To someday arrange
A better world; a better life:
The company to my inner and drum and fife

Overall, is our change good or bad?
Or is it mad?
So I ask all of you
To see your own change through
Because that's who you
are.
