CHANGES

By Sedina Pilgrim

When will it end ?
Is it all becoming a trend?
Will it ever descend?
Will we ever be able to blend?

Is this really how you want it to look?
Inside your future child’s textbooks?
Will this ever really change?
Will they look at these cops strange?

Is this the reason most of us die?
You pull out your guns and we still comply?
Is this how his kid had to say goodbye?
Like wow my daddy really just died?

And how much of us have to die ?
Until you cops really realize,
Will you ever look us in the eyes ?
And see that we are good & wise,

So when the night falls and the day springs
The leafs die and the bells ring
Will we ever see change?
Will we ever finally flip the page?
