Chaos Kings

They're diving headfirst into shallow waters
As the clocks wind down to the sacred slaughters
Observing close behind are the sons and daughters
A broken watch indeed

Childhood memories cannot be broke
The wise words of then are now the modern jokes
In denial, lighting another smoke
For slow is still a speed

There's kings in our day, without crowns, but they
Watch people starve with regards of a pay
Like Judas to Jesus or Moses split seas is this
All that it takes for the God that's not pleased with us?
There's kings..

But where, oh where could my darlin' be? Is she safe and sound?
Time from time, I'll open my eyes
To see if there's blood on the ground
