Cherish the Wind

We are born without wings,
And so we crave to fly.
We can only hold our breath so long,
So we dive to deeper depths.
We are given undeniable love
Therefore we stomp it with heavy boots.
Ungrateful.
Ungrateful for the hands we are given to lift each other up.
Ungrateful for the lungs that can spread such sweet words.
Undeserving of a mother's love who loves deeper than any other.
We are so unsatisfied with the life we are given,
We don't see all we have.
Dissatisfied in our body.
Selfish with our hearts.
Unforgiving with our words.
And oblivious to those we hurt.
We are born without wings
So we must raise each other up to feel the wind.
We can only hold our breath so long,
So always kiss with all the passion you hold.
We are given undeniable love,
So cherish it, before you wish you had.
