childhood

Childhood

Running in the soft fields with no shoes on

Mud on my face not a care in the world

Playing with dolls toy cars watching wiggles

Riding my quad fearless crash into fence

Dust myself off get back up try again

Scabbed knees patched pants and a helmet

Swinging as high as I can look for God

on the slide up and down over again

Called in to dinner don’t want to go in

Five more minutes of playtime run and

Playing from sun up to sun down no rest

Late night tea parties with dad don’t like tea

Baking cookies with mom eating them all

Off to my bed time to start a new dream
