Child’s Laughter

A sound that echoes inside us
Tickling every part of us it touches
Only a smile can come after
The sound of a child's laughter
A ray of sunshine in the midst of a disaster
Is the sound of a child's laughter
The innocence with which they laugh
You know it's genuine wholehearted not half
Straight from the lord our master
Is the origin of a child's laughter
The most solemn feelings can be erased
When you look into their smiling face
Even if it's just for an instant
All your aches and troubles become distant
Because only a smile can come after
The sound of a child's laughter
If we could harness that power
A power that softens the hardest of hearts
And unifies all that is apart
If we could duplicate that magic
Because there's nothing more tragic
There isn't a greater disaster
Than a child who doesn't know laughter
