Choices

By Kris

All the time lost has been found.

We have time for thinking...

As we see the autumn leaves slowly fall to the ground.

And we let our thoughts slowly sink in.

We exist because we do.

We love because we want to.

We cry because we need to.

We sacrifice because we have to.

Constantly telling ourselves lies.

We can either forget everything and run...

Or face everything and rise.

We have to choose faster than a bullet shot from a gun.

Slowly fading away in our darkest fears...

But we can find a way out of this mess.

Either way, your eyes will be filled with tears.

Tears of joy or tears of sadness.

Your options are slowly fading away.

Just take a chance and open the door...

Because I already see the end of this day.

What are you still waiting for?

This Poems Story

The inspiration came from the common acronym quote - FEAR => Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise and it evolved into a piece regarding choices because many of our decisions rotate around that thought and either letting yourself be consumed by FEAR or facing it and going past it.
