Christian Confusion

I just let God into my heart,
But that wasn't even half the start.
I must know, I have to ask
What's with these other tasks?

Don't conform to the way of the world,
But be confined to the church's rules.
God loves you unconditionally,
But He only sees me as a tool.

We call each other heretic
And then we blame the other side.
I'm right, they're wrong, we're shouting.
Aren't we called to cross these lines?

Beauty is fleeting, charm is deceiving
And abuse is to be praised.
Jesus was an outcast too,
But we cast out in His name.
