By Ladybug

Talking to you was wonderful.
It was almost like a dance.
At first I was cautious,
but then I took a chance.

I started off awkward,
but you didn’t seem to mind.
I told you I hadn’t done this
in a very long time.

I soon became better,
and I almost got to lead.
But now it’s clear,
I was a want, not a need.

You twirled me around,
but then you were gone.
I couldn’t help but wonder
if I did something wrong.

You weren’t the first guy
who tried to teach me how to dance.
But now next time someone comes,
I may not take a chance.
