Christmas angels

Every year at Christmas time, we look around for the perfect pine.
After we finally make a selection, the men begin to cut while the women get decorations.
Mama always made the best.
An Angel with wings and halo on her head.
She always let me be the one to place her on our tree.
While singing silent night all in harmony.
This year was different, I made our Angel.
She wasn't that great but She wasn't terrible.
I couldn't finish singing Silent night.
I felt much sadness and began to cry.
While staring at my Angel up high above.
She lit right up without being plugged up.
At that very moment, I knew right then.
That mama was there to share our Christmas with.
