Christmas Colors

Green is the color of the hay
Where Jesus laid His head.
Born in the manger that Christmas day,
It was used for our Savior's bed.

Red is the color of Jesus' blood;
It stained the ground below.
He shed His blood on Calv'rys hill
To wash us white as snow.

When you see the colors green and red,
Think how redemption came to be.
From Jesus lying on the hay of green
To the red-stained cross to set us free.

I love the Christmas colors.
Green and red, they tell of love,
From the birth of our dear Savior
To His throne in Heav'n above.
