Christmas Doesn’t Live Here

There will be
no Christmas tree,
no wreath upon the door.
No carols sung
nor present one,
because Christmas doesn't live here anymore.

A star can't shine,
without a light,
there's no wish,
if you don't believe.
I can't stand
a Silent Night
or recall what it was for,
because Christmas doesn't live here anymore.

Don't let me hear a sleigh bell ring,
don't say a reindeer name,
no tidings of comfort or joy,
because Christmas doesn't live here anymore.
