Clocks In Her Eyes

She had the Universe on her mind.
She was completely lost, and that was fine.
Clocks in her eyes, but no sense of time.
Rhythm was social, and depth was her rhyme.

No way she's as confident as she puts on.
Takes off her face when everyone's gone.
Tangled up lyrics inside of her song.
Only here short, but feels so long

Dreams that drip like snow in June.
Love that comes but leaves so soon.
Feelings of red, merlot, maroon.
Sun and stars and space and moon.

Ok fine, let's pretend
that was now, and this is then.
This is just the beginning of the end.
Trust me love, I'll do this again
