Storms build on the horizon
Racing toward the sun
Reaching ever upward they think of only one
Sunlight as their auburn hair
Nubile rounded forms
Reaching ever-upward nature's perfect storm
They bare their breasts and bellies
Linger stop and start
Reaching ever upward until worlds fly apart
Heaven's glory sets to shimmer
It's silent desperation
Reaching ever upward violet lips in exultation
Witness the sun's last tremor
As he does his best
Reaching ever upward his face turned toward the west
Content in their undoing
Shadows start to fade
Reaching ever upward heaven's tears of jade
With Vulcan's anvil ringing
The sky is split with light
Reaching ever upward a thousand birds take flight
At last a time for birthing
The wounded earth lies still
While reaching ever upward
Naked she takes her fill
