Colin the Milk Snake

Oh Colin, Colin you are a snake
your skin sheen like a mirror calm lake
your type is known as milk
with your tiny scales as cool as silk
I like the colours of your bands
and how you slither through my hands
beautiful colours of yellow, black and red
you eat your food when you are fed
the way you flick your tongue in the air
that taste the molecules that are floating there
I like the way you wrap yourself around my arm
with your silent silky charm
oh Colin you are a very nice snake
what do you think of when your awake
your body can twist and turn and easily bend
oh Colin I am so glad to be your friend.
