The softest touch, you whispered my name
Summer heat, fired up like your game.
Staring right into Egyptian blue
Who cares about the war, I’m with you.

We’ll pack our things and hideaway
Make out ‘till dawn, I need you to stay.
Throwing laughter in the air
It quickly turned into despair.

The fate of the Gods is out of control
Read my body, disguise your soul.
Jealousy ensues through the darkest of night
I heard all the men ready to fight.

Balance of dark red and iridescence
Tight lipped about death, the air grows tense.
They’ll never know our extended fling
I guess now it’s up to the king.

Golden flashes race by my eyes
Next I hear the battle cries.
The dust and ashes fly up high
I’m sorry I never kissed you goodbye.

This Poems Story

I’ve never actually read The Song of Achilles but I looked it up and loosely based it on that.
