Stagnant air surrounds
Laughter wafts in through the window pane
Different pains linger here

Desert eyes well up with rain
Nourishing the life, the soul of the wanderer
Try to grow and not drown
Will I survive the darkness of night?

Nature's resiliency is steel
Strong. Reliable. Cold.
Bring me the strength of the desert nights
Sing me the songs of the lost nomads

As long as the stars stay guiding...
and the Sun always joins me for breakfast
As long as my toes itch in the grass
I'll be grounded

and I will reach the sky.
